About the Artist
Growing up in Winnipeg, Canada, Pam Kellett wanted to be a cartoonist. She spent hours doodling and copying comic cartoons with crayons and colored pencils.
After receiving a degree in creative communications her career took a different path and the crayons were left behind (temporarily).
Pam started off as a news reporter, weather girl and news director at a small tv station north of Winnipeg. She also worked in radio and hosted a live call in talk show before starting her career as a magazine writer and editor.
After working for several years in Toronto Pam took a job as writer/editor/photographer for tourism and business publications in Nassau, Bahamas.
It was in Nassau that Pam rediscovered her love of drawing and started painting with watercolors.
Nassau has a vibrant art community and Pam’s work became very collectible both on the island and abroad.
In 1999 Pam moved to Santa Fe where became a full time artist and made the life changing decision to buy a horse.
Pam now combines her love of painting with her passion for her horse, Tupelo Honey, and animals of all kinds.
